Graham Ludlow (born April 6, 1962) is a Canadian actor, executive, screenwriter and producer.[1] Ludlow was born in England but grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. He graduated from Magee Secondary School.[2][3]
Ludlow wrote the television film The Call of the Wild: Dog of the Yukon (1997), starring Rutger Hauer and narrated by Richard Dreyfuss. The Hollywood Reporter said that it was, "... a pleasant surprise. Much more faithful to Jack London's 1903 classic than the two Hollywood versions."[4] The New York Post claimed Ludlow's adaptation was the "best version yet of Jack London's classic story of survival."[5] Ludlow also wrote the television movie Storm Cell (2008).[6]
He had acting roles in the films Welcome to 18 (1986) and Thunder Run (1986).[7]
He was a producer of the action film The Condemned (2007),[8] and executive producer of the television films Anya's Bell (1999),[9] Eight Days to Live (2006), which was nominated for a Gemini Award for Best TV Movie, In God's Country (2007), which won the 2008 CFTPA Indie Award for Best TV Movie[10][11], and which was also nominated for a Gemini Award for Best TV Movie, "The Good Times are Killing Me" (2009), another Gemini Award nominee for Best TV Movie, and She Drives Me Crazy (2007) (which was nominated for and then won the Gemini Award for Best TV Movie of 2010).[12] Anya's Bell was nominated for a Humanitas Prize in 2000, and won the 2000 Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Movie.[13] Broadcast in Canada by CTV, Eight Days To Live became CTV's highest rated TV movie.[14][15]
